MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2026
Hey, Arlington.
It’s officially Halloween week. If you’ve been waiting for a reason to pull the costumes out of the closet, this is it. There’s plenty happening before Saturday, including free family events that won’t require a ticket or an elaborate plan.
Meanwhile, a major project at Arlington Municipal Airport has reached a milestone, a new crepe café is worth knowing about, and some neighborhoods could be eligible for city improvement grants.
Here’s what’s worth knowing this Monday.
In today’s edition: A major aerospace project takes shape · A new Arlington café worth knowing · Downtown glass arts and neighborhood grants · How to report a pothole · Six things happening this week
A massive aerospace project takes shape near Arlington Municipal Airport
The city celebrated a construction milestone on October 23 for E-Space’s planned North American headquarters. The development includes a 480,000-square-foot manufacturing and office facility plus a 33,450-square-foot aircraft hangar, apron and new airport-access infrastructure.
The city projects more than 2,000 high-tech jobs over 30 years tied to the project, with facility completion estimated for summer 2027. Those are projections, not jobs already filled — the jobs are expected to build over time as the campus opens and grows. It’s a significant bet on Arlington becoming more than a stadium-and-entertainment destination.
Local Business of the Week: Le Parisien Crepes & Coffee

Looking for a different kind of coffee stop in south Arlington? Le Parisien Crepes & Coffee celebrated its grand opening with a Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting on September 25.
The café is at 1305 Debbie Lane, Suite 191, near the Arlington–Mansfield line. It’s a new local option to keep in mind for a casual coffee or crepe outing. We haven’t independently sampled the menu or checked today’s hours, so take this as a newly opened spot to discover, not a personal review.
A glass-art studio is moving to downtown Arlington
SiNaCa Studios, a Fort Worth nonprofit known for glassmaking classes, demonstrations and public programming, plans to relocate to 300 W. Front St. Its future Arlington space is intended to serve as a glass-arts school, gallery and community arts facility. Arlington City Council approved the lease on September 29, and the city is supporting the move with a $150,000 design grant and up to $850,000 for building improvements.
If you’ve wanted a creative outing that isn’t another dinner reservation, this is one to watch. An opening date has not been announced, so don’t show up for a class just yet.
Arlington neighborhoods can apply for up to $25,000
Want better landscaping, public art or other community improvements in your neighborhood? Applications are open for Arlington’s 2027 Neighborhood Matching Grant Program, now in its 20th year.
Eligible neighborhood groups with an EIN and bank account can apply for up to $10,000; qualifying registered HOAs and nonprofit neighborhood associations can apply for up to $25,000. A 20% matching contribution applies, with at least half of it in cash (some applicants may qualify for a cash-match waiver). Applicants must also join the city’s Neighborhood Directory and attend an information session and the application workshop.
The deadline is Monday, November 16, with an application workshop scheduled for Monday, November 2, at 6 p.m. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, 100 S. Center St.
City Update: Arlington filled 3,874 potholes last year
According to the city’s October 22 report, Arlington Public Works repaired 3,874 potholes in fiscal 2026 across a city road network covering about 3,010 lane miles. The repairs are supported by the voter-approved quarter-cent street maintenance sales tax.
Here’s the useful part if your own street still needs attention: residents can report a pothole through the Ask Arlington app or call Public Works at 817-459-6550. The city says crews aim to inspect and respond to reported problems within 48 hours; that isn’t a promise every repair will be completed in two days.
