This weekend is a pretty good one if you want to get out without spending much.
Downtown has classic cars Saturday morning, the Front Street Festival right nearby, then Prince and ABBA tributes at Levitt that night. The Savannah Bananas are at Globe Life all weekend, Pumpkin Nights is back on Division, and the Rangers have one more home game this afternoon.

One last Rangers home game

The Rangers play the Mets this afternoon in their final scheduled regular-season home game before heading to Minnesota for the weekend.

Banana Ball is here — and yes, it’s sold out

The Savannah Bananas and Texas Tailgaters are taking over Globe Life Field for three games this weekend.
All three are sold out.
If you’ve never watched Banana Ball before, it’s basically baseball with a two-hour clock, weird rules, dancing and a lot more going on between pitches than you’d ever see at a normal game.
No ticket? Friday is listed on the Roku Sports Channel and the Texas Tailgaters’ YouTube feed. Saturday and Sunday are also listed on the Tailgaters’ YouTube feed.
Saturday downtown is doing a lot
You could spend most of Saturday around Downtown Arlington without needing much of a plan.
Downtown Arlington Classic Car Show

Vandergriff Town Center
Expect classic and antique vehicles from 1980 and earlier, plus live music, food, a kids area and awards.

Knapp Heritage Park
This one is part of Arlington’s 150th anniversary and has historic cabin tours, demonstrations, local vendors, live music and family activities.
Do the car show first, walk over to Front Street, grab food downtown, and you’ve got a pretty easy Saturday morning.

If you’d rather wait until the evening, Levitt has free music all weekend.

Cowboys in Rio, watch party in Arlington

The Cowboys play the Ravens in Brazil on Sunday, but Miller Lite House at AT&T Stadium is hosting a free watch party back home.
Tickets are free but required. AT&T Stadium also lists free parking in Lot 10.
So if you want the game-day crowd without an actual home game, there you go.
Pumpkin Nights is back

Open Sept. 24–27 this week
Pumpkin Nights is back with a half-mile trail through nine pumpkin lands, more than 10,000 hand-carved and custom pumpkins, a fire show, food and family activities.
Early-season adult tickets are listed at $20–22 on weekdays and $24–26 on weekends, plus $10 parking.
September is the cheaper time to go before October crowds and prices pick up.
A couple quick Arlington updates
The Cowboys beat Washington 37–20 on Sunday, and Dak Prescott threw career touchdown pass No. 249, moving past Tony Romo for the franchise record.
A Truist-affiliated auto-finance operation is also closing its Arlington facility, affecting 205 jobs. Layoffs are scheduled to begin Nov. 30.
