Good morning, Arlington!
October starts with a busy weekend. Monster Jam is coming to AT&T Stadium. There are two free nights at the Levitt. Arlington is also holding its Hispanic Heritage Celebration.
We went through what is happening around town and picked the events worth knowing about. Here is your weekend.
5 THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND
1. Monster Jam takes over AT&T Stadium
Saturday, Oct. 3 · 7 PM · AT&T Stadium · Ticketed
Monster trucks are taking over AT&T Stadium Saturday night. Fans will see huge trucks race, jump, and compete in freestyle events.
There is also a Pit Party from 2:30-5:30 PM for fans with a Pit Party pass. Good for: families and monster truck fans.
Quick tip: If you plan to do the Pit Party too, this can turn into a full Saturday event.

2. Hispanic Heritage Celebration
Saturday, Oct. 3 · 4-10 PM · Levitt Pavilion · FREE
Looking for something free? Start here. Arlington's Hispanic Heritage Celebration is back for its fifth year. Expect live music, food, shopping, dancing, and more. The lineup includes Sam Houston High School Mariachi, Aztec dancers, salsa, Chikis y Su Sonora, and Mike Gonzalez and the Iconiczz.
There will also be 60+ vendors. More than 6,000 people came last year, so getting there early may be a good idea. Good for: families, friends, and date night.

3. Free Friday night at the Levitt
Friday, Oct. 2 · 7:10-10 PM · Levitt Pavilion · FREE
Need an easy Friday night plan? Head Downtown. Seger System will play the music of Bob Seger at the Levitt. Gen X Blossoms will open the night with '90s rock.
Bring a chair or blanket and find a spot on the lawn. Dinner Downtown → free concert → done.
4. Explore Arlington's art scene
Saturday, Oct. 3 · Noon-5 PM · Around Arlington
Want a slower Saturday? Try Fall Gallery Night. Six Arlington art galleries will take part, including Karlynn Arts, Salvaged Stories, The Mosaic Market, and The Upstairs Gallery.
Each stop may have different hours, so check the schedule before you go. Good for: date night, art fans, or anyone looking for something different.
Make a day of it: Gallery Night → dinner Downtown → Hispanic Heritage Celebration.
5. Start Saturday with Walktober
Saturday, Oct. 3 · 9 AM-2 PM · Centennial Park · FREE
Start your Saturday outside. Arlington is kicking off Walktober at Centennial Park.
There will be coffee, local vendors, and a group walk. The warm-up starts around 9:45 AM. The walk starts at 10 AM. It is free and easy to fit into the rest of your day.
Good for: families or anyone who wants a simple morning outside.

ONE VERY USEFUL SATURDAY STOP
Get rid of your old electronics
Saturday, Oct. 3 · 8 AM-2 PM
Have an old laptop sitting in a closet? Or a pile of papers you keep saying you will shred? Saturday is your chance.
The City of Arlington is holding a free paper shredding and electronics recycling event. Arlington residents can bring up to two banker-size boxes of paper and accepted electronics. Bring proof that you live in Arlington.
Go early if you can. Paper shredding may end early if the truck fills up. Not the most exciting event this weekend. But your closet will thank you.
